Out of the 94 Calls to Action for Truth and Reconciliation, 7 fall under the category of Education. While all 94 of the Calls to Action should be recognized by all, I believe all educators should be aware of and understand the 7 that pertain to education. In particular, I think that BC teachers can practice #10 iii, which is developing culturally appropriate curricula. BC teachers are lucky that the curriculum already includes multiple areas of Indigenous focus and content, which makes it easy for BC teachers to address one of the Calls to Action in classrooms.
