Curricular Connections

I remember the BC curriculum being very overwhelming when I first looked at it. The more I have explored the different subjects and grades I have come to appreciate how it it layed out and how it scaffolds topics as the grade increases. I think that the BC Curriculum covers a variety of topics through the curricular competencies and content that represent the values that are held by the BC education system. I believe the inclusion of Indigenous knowledge throughout multiple parts of the curriculum across all grades shows the dedication the BC education system has to teaching students the importance of Indigenous knowledge and ways of knowing.
